Features
Proxy transfers
Send SOL through up to 100 temporary proxy wallets before it reaches its destination.
A proxy transfer sends SOL along a chain of new, single-use wallets. With 5 proxies, the route is: your wallet → Proxy 1 → … → Proxy 5 → recipient. You can choose 1 to 100 proxies, so a route has up to 101 transactions.
Starting a transfer
- 1
Open Proxy transfers
Go to Profile → Proxy transfers.
- 2
Choose From
Your connected wallet, or one of your active disposable or payment-link wallets. Each option shows its SOL balance. Only wallets with enough spendable SOL, and not busy with another transfer or withdrawal, can be selected.
- 3
Enter the details
The amount in SOL (at least 0.001 SOL), the recipient address, and the number of proxies (1–100, default 3).
- 4
Review
Check From, You send, Route and Recipient receives (est.).
- 5
Sign and send
From your connected wallet, you sign the first transfer in your wallet. From a disposable or payment wallet, you sign a free message approving this exact amount, route and recipient, and Privy signs with that wallet’s stored key.
Fees and amounts
Privy doesn’t sponsor fees. Each wallet in the route pays its own Solana network fee (a 5,000-lamport base fee plus a small priority fee) and forwards everything else to the next wallet. Every proxy ends with exactly 0 SOL once the transfer completes.
The recipient gets the amount you sent minus the network fees along the route, so more proxies means slightly less delivered. Recipient receives (est.) shows that figure before you sign. Privy checks that the amount covers the whole route before starting.
Tracking progress
Each transfer card shows its status and X of N steps confirmed. Open it to see every step in the route, each with a link to its transaction on Solscan, plus the Estimated delivery and the final Delivered amount.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Awaiting signature | Created, but the first transfer isn’t signed yet. You can still cancel. |
| Routing | Funds are moving through the proxies. |
| Paused | A step failed or expired. Funds are safe in the current proxy wallet. |
| Completed | The recipient received the funds. |
| Cancelled | Cancelled before signing. No funds moved. |
| Recovering / Recovered | Proxy SOL is being, or has been, sent to the address you chose. |
Progress is saved after every step. Long routes continue in the background across server runs, and you can close or refresh the page at any time.
If a transfer gets stuck
A paused transfer offers two options:
- Continue transfer: retries from the step that failed. Privy first checks the previous attempt’s signature on-chain, and only sends again once that attempt has definitely expired, so a step can never be paid twice.
- Recover: enter an address under Or recover all proxy SOL to, click Recover with wallet confirmation, and Privy sweeps the SOL held by the route’s proxy wallets to it.
Proxy wallets and their encrypted keys are kept after a transfer. They appear in Profile → Wallets with the Proxy label. To keep funds safe mid-route, export and archive are locked while the transfer executes. You can export a proxy key once the transfer completes or while it’s paused.
