Features
Disposable wallets
Fresh Solana wallets you can create, fund, withdraw from and export at any time.
A disposable wallet is a new Solana address that Privy generates for you. Use one to receive funds without sharing your main wallet’s address. Privy stores its private key encrypted, and you control it: you can withdraw from it or export the key at any time.
Creating a wallet
- 1
Open Profile
Go to Profile and sign in. The Wallets tab opens first.
- 2
Create
Click Disposable wallet. Privy generates a fresh keypair on Solana mainnet.
- 3
Share the address
Open the wallet and use Copy address. Send SOL, USDC or USDT to it from anywhere.
You can keep up to 50 active disposable wallets. Archive ones you no longer need to create more.
Receiving and holding funds
Each wallet shows its live SOL, USDC and USDT balances. Funds stay in the wallet until you move them. Use View on Solscan to see its full on-chain history.
BNB Chain wallets
Choose BNB Chain when creating a wallet to get a new address on BNB Chain mainnet. It holds native BNB, shows a live BNB balance and links to BscScan. Withdrawals pay a small BNB network fee from the wallet itself, and Export key gives a hex private key you can import into any EVM wallet app. BEP-20 tokens and swaps are not supported.
Withdrawing
- 1
Open the wallet
Click the wallet in the list, then choose Withdraw.
- 2
Fill in the details
Pick the token, paste the destination address and enter an amount, or use the maximum.
- 3
Confirm
Sign a free message with your connected wallet. It approves this exact token, amount and destination, so it can’t be reused for anything else.
- 4
Wait for confirmation
The status changes from Confirming on Solana… to Withdrawal confirmed, with a link to the transaction.
Exporting the private key
Choose Export key on a wallet to take its key into another Solana wallet app. There are two formats:
| Format | What you get |
|---|---|
| Reveal key | The base58 private key, shown on screen with Copy private key. This is the default. |
| Encrypted backup | A backup file encrypted with a passphrase you choose. You need the same passphrase to use it. |
Nothing is shown when the dialog opens. You first sign a confirmation message with your connected wallet.
Archiving
When you’re finished with a wallet, withdraw all funds and click Archive. The button stays disabled while the wallet still holds funds. Archived wallets move to the Archived filter. A wallet marked Key deleted no longer has a stored key.
